Brief Response
This novel is a mystery with an air of suspense as Tracy Crosswhite
strives to find out the truth behind her sister’s disappearance and death.
Cautious, weary, and time-hardened, the protagonist is distant and has
difficulty trusting and connecting with her current and past acquaintances. This
intentional standoffish attitude is inherently related to the story the author
is weaving. While slow to build, fans of Alice Feeney, Sarah Pearse, and Mary
Clark Higgins will enjoy this occasionally suspense woven-mystery.
